its over :(

first off just let me say i LOVE Christmas. i am not sure if its because my birthday is close so growing up warm & fuzzy memories always came with the holiday. i love decorating for christmas! i love putting the tree up after thanksgiving. unwrapping all the special ornaments and finding just the right place for them. i love explaining to Lo where the ornament came from and why its special. i love their faces when we turn the tree "on". i love all the fun places to go and see lights and decorations. this year my little ones were very happy and that in turn made me so happy. we went to springs preserve, magical forest, & of course the mall. we drank cocoa and drove around looking at lights. Christmas eve service was beautiful! we made some wonderful memories this year, so i am sad to see it go. i dont want to take the tree down or the lights. i dont want this to end. i have one more week untill i have to start the whole year over, and i think that makes me sad. i want the girls to stay like this forever-wearing Christmas jammies, with Christmas music playing in the background, sitting on my lap reading new books from santa. happy birthday jesus, merry CHRISTmas, & of course happy new year. 2011

of course i am still selling at "it's mine now" childrens resell. (check it out, its on cheyanne just east of buffalo). but only bows. clothing like the brother sister sets shown above will be for sell at julie lane paper co. untill december 31st. the store is located in boca park, in the whole foods center. this a great opportunity for me. i will have both boy and girls sets to choose from. i am teaming up with guest designers each month untill 2011. october is cold mountain caps by jessica slowick. she does 100% cotton crocheted beanies, headbands, (featured in the cherry cordial dress set-red,green, & brown)and scarves. she rocks! more pictures of her stuff will be up this weekend.

first day of preschool

so lo had her first day of preschool and i am heart broken that she didnt miss me or want me to stay or anything.how can this little person i missed so much not even bat an eyelash at the fact claire and i are away from her? i missed her so much, thank god its only for 2 hours. while lo enjoyed her class claire napped and i worked out. when we picked her up she was glad to see us. claire was beside herself squealing from excitment to be reunited with charlotte. it was one of those priceless moments. she loves her teacher and cant wait for tuesdays and thursdays. i guess thats a good thing but its hard to let her grow up when shes my baby. im having trouble posting pictures but i will soon

pillowcase dresses

so i am doing pillow case dresses and tie tops for the show this sunday. here are few styles i will have. apple cobbler (red ivory & blue), paisly pie (vintage paisly), and orange dreamsicle (bright floral on a beige background. all dresses are priced at $25. some come with a hair accessory. they can be worn as dresses now and later as tops. please stop by the lodge at mount charleston lodge sunday and check out over 40 vendors (im # 42)plus they is live music and a wine tasting.

mount charleston arts & crafts fair

i am seriously working on a large amount of different patterned pillowcase dresses and tie tops. i will have a small assortment of bows and bracelets. plus a good friend of mine will be doing beanies and headbands hand crocheted not those junky made in china ones. and another friend of mine is bringing tutu birthday sets(claire is wearing her tuts in her 1st birthday pic), boutique wipey cases, and korker bows. come check us out @ the lodge in mt. charleston on the 8th of august (sunday) 10am-4pm there will be over 40 vendors all handmade!!!

are we in?

so one of my friends and i decided to audition for the crafters guild last night and guess what we are in!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its very exciting and they gave us great complements. my friends crochets adorable caps and headbands for babies, kids, and parents. shes awesome. i will keep you posted about all the guilds upcoming events.

Baby claire is 1!

i cant believe my sweet baby is already one year old. she is very silly baby! claire has always had a lot to say, been super social, and quite the tough cookie. she is the boss around here and knows that we cater to her every whim. she adores big sister charlotte and wants to right next to her, funny thing is charlotte requests this too. we had a luau themed party, it was mostly family but a few family friends came as well. she actually ate her cupcake (1/4 of it) and she fell asleep on her papa around 10pm. what can i say shes a party animal. the first pictures are from her birthday morning photo session (a tradition around here) and the last one is from her newborn session, where she was 10 days old. its amazing how much shes changed. from 8.4lbs to a whopping 20lbs! it breaks my heart to see how fast its gone. i want them to stay little forever. oh if i could just push pause, i would keep my girls this way forever.

some great hats and lake side fun!

the pictures of claire have her sporting a great hat from my friend brenda. you can find her stuff on http://www.etsy.com/shop/BEloise?ga_search_query=BEloise&ga_search_type=seller_usernames her stuff is fab!!! the next is my beauties on the lake shore of minnesota. arent they breathtaking? we had so much fun on the boat. charlotte loved tubing and claire just couldnt stay awake on the rides. lol. ash wakeboarded. we spent the 4th of july there and the fireworks were amazing , since they were fired off a pontoon boat right in front of the lake house. the trip was nice but home is better. i loved the mall of america, and it loved my debit card! lol

A night at th theater

we ttok the girls to see rodgers and hammersteins cinderella tonight and Lo was in awe. she was of course perfect and enjoyed all the singing. my sweet Claire switched between eating and sleeping but peeked out of her cover a few times to see the stage. (the show started at 7pm and bed time is 7:30) it was a great show. btw- the girls are wearing babyfrosting pillowcase dresses, simple black and white with interchangable ribbon straps. we love these because they are neutral but you can add hot pink ribbon for fun or silver for class. Claire is rockin the grey-shes a sophisticate. and Charlotte the emerald green, to accentuate the peacock veil in her hair. these dresses are on sale for july (perfect for that upcoming celebration) $25 two ribbon color choice. add $5 for additional color or $10 for 5 colors. this will start as a dress and turn into a shirt as baby grows-with jeans OMG!

so i finally got my car back after a month of being at the repair shop. phew....so of course i loaded up the girls and my mom and we took a trip to the fabric shop. since i have been relying on ebay to get most of my fabric this month it was nice to smell the "new" again and watch charloote put together patterns shed like to use. i dropped alot of cash to make up for the long sabtical i took. but good news is new lines are going up! so i am going to throw some stiches down tonight and see what i come up with.

as promised claires pansy pie set. i know i always say i would never use fabric from a craft store but i was asked to do bow holders for sisters and used this fabric. of course i loved it or i wouldnt have used it. i am still a fabric snob but these are way cute. right? i am offering a discount on this fabric as a dress only, since the pattern is so large. 30% off up to 3t. this will not come with a free cherry on top. lo insists on making outfits for claire. she has been working on set for her that is of course blue-and had chocolate chips on it. i cant wait to see how it turns out. she loves the sewing machine daddy got her for christmas.

i absolutley love the way these turned out. it a new patern i made and i think it might be my new favorite-move over twirl sets-lol. i am calling it a new spin on pillowcase dresses. this fabric however was discontinued so i have no way of getting it :( but i plan on doing something with watermelons and it will be even cuter. a friend of mine is doing hats to match and i cant wait to get them. check her out BEloise on etsy.com shes very talented.

a friend of mine is building her portfolio and i had her shoot the divas in some pillow case style dresses. i got the disk today! shes great! Lo is wearing fluffy bows and claire has on a crocheted flower. arent they classic? love the old fashioned look! she is doing the man and me this weekend for our 10 year anniversary. we are doing at the same place we got married, only this time im wearing black! lol

mother's day lunch! i am so very blessed with my 2 incredable little divas. we went to town square and ate, and of course charlotte insisted on a trip to the juicy store and then godiva- shes a very fancy girl! claire really enjoyed all of the " she's so pretty" comments that everyone so freely gave her.

super news! i am doing outfits for the new reality family on TLC the jones. they have an older daughter and quintuplets. i did coordinating outfits for all 6 kids and they turned out very cute. the style i am calling 1/2 dozen since there are 6 different outfits from the same fabrics. 3 different twirl skirt sets, 2 dresses, and 1 tie top. i am so thrilled to do these and hope to see them on t.v. soon. all came with the shabby cloth hair flowers.
